Visible or invisible, Conwed netting is found in the most unexpected places.
Manufacturers in the furniture industry rely on Conwed netting to improve the structure and performance of their products. Our netting components can be incorporated to other substrates and materials such as nonwoven, film, foam, paper, tissue and other fabrics to form lightweight composites with superior tensile strength. Conwed netting provides reinforcement, containment, separation, stretch, support, lamination and bonding functionalities. It is an essential material when manufacturers need to meet strict tensile strength targets without dramatically increasing overall product weight or missing performance targets.
From insulators, backers and pad protectors to foam, nonwoven and other fabric reinforcement applications in chairs, couches, sofas, outdoor or indoor furniture, Conwed netting is a versatile component delivering excellent functionalities.

CONWED NETTING FUNCTIONALITIES
- Protect, reinforce, support, contain, separate, grip, laminate and bond different components and materials.
- Reduce cost, weight, height, thickness and overall size of products.
- Save energy, material, and production process time.
- Separate elements that need gaps to achieve superior performance.
- Provide composite capabilities with paper, film, foam, nonwoven and other fabrics.
The most common netting application used by furniture manufacturers is the reinforcement of diverse substrates, materials and fabrics. Since our netting components can be customized to be rigid, flexible, stretchable, light or heavy, manufacturers thrive on the diverse functionalities obtained when combining Conwed netting with other materials. Whether our netting is designed with adhesive features or low-melt properties, there are many ways to incorporate our netting in other production processes to create lightweight but strong composites.
SEPARATION AND CONTAINMENT
Conwed netting is also used as a separation or barrier element in furniture applications. The holes in our netting configurations allow for superior breathability over other materials such as plastic films. Also, compared to other similar components, Conwed plastic netting is lightweight, non-corrosive, rust-proof, stretch-resistant, chemically inert and compatible with other materials.
Conwed also manufactures specialty netting that is stretchable. Our elastomeric netting is a competitive alternative to other stretch materials such as spandex, films and stretchable nonwovens. Rebound® elastomeric netting can be combined with other materials in composite form acting as the stretch engine.
