CONWED FILTRATION PORTFOLIO

EXTRUDED CYLINDER TUBES
Our extruded cylinder tubes are commonly used to protect delicate filtration media due to their strength and rigidity. They are used in outer shields as a core protection in wound or pleated elements. Conwed manufactures rigid tubes in a variety of mesh shapes, diameters, open areas and lengths.
Conwed manufactures plastic netting sleeves that help safeguard and preserve delicate filtration media. Each netting sleeve is designed to meet temperature and chemical resistance specifications and is available in tailored mesh shapes, diameters, lengths, weights and colors. Our netting sleeves can be found in cartridge filtration as well as other protection and containment applications.
+
DIAMOND OR BI-PLANAR NETTING
Bi-planar netting, commonly referred to as diamond netting, is mainly used in cross-flowing applications for drainage and spacing. It provides consistent flow characteristics while allowing proper turbulence to clean membrane media surfaces. Our extruded diamond netting is also used in tightly-spaced pleat packs for superior pleat separation.
+
SQUARE OR MONO-PLANAR NETTING
Mono-planar netting, commonly known as square netting, is used to add integrity to media whether as a pleat support or as a pre-filter in normal flow applications. Square netting excels in separation, protection and reinforcement functionalities. It can also help reduce bio-fouling and dead spots that concentrate bio-material residue.
Conwed manufactures the leading lightweight oriented netting in the world. After extrusion, our netting can go through a secondary process called orientation. This process optimizes netting by creating higher strength-to-weight ratios. Oriented netting provides consistent strength and large open areas designed for fluid flow without the issues of blinding or loading the media. It is an essential component in pleat and media support applications.

REVERSE OSMOSIS SPACERS
Conwed manufactures a wide range of lightweight netting configurations that function as spacers in reverse osmosis applications. Our netting components are part of the several layers that configure reverse osmosis filters and provide necessary separation between the membranes to achieve superior filter performance.

CONTAINMENT AND PROTECTION
Our plastic netting, extruded cylinder tubes, and netting sleeves provide a sturdy case to contain filter media in cartridge applications. Furthermore, our netting portfolio protects delicate filter media from damage during manufacturing, handling and cleaning.
+
SEPARATION AND CHANNELING
Flow channel spacers are needed where fluid or air is directed parallel to the filter media. Our netting components provide the necessary gapping required to achieve superior filter performance. We can customize our netting configurations to create precise channels, reduce pressure, and provide proper flow and turbulence for any filtration application.
Our extruded cylinder tubes provide exceptional structural support when used as cages and center cores in cartridge filtration for pleated, wound, or depth filter elements. Extruded cylinder tubes are rigid and can be manufactured in a variety of resins to deliver desired performance specifications. Our netting and extruded cylinder tubes are all incinerable, recyclable and easily preserved compared to other materials used in filtration.
+
PLEAT AND MEDIA SUPPORT
Pleated filters consist of a series of uniform folds that allow for the use of more media within a confined space. In many of these applications, the media must be reinforced to meet the pressure requirements of the filter application. Conwed offers exceptional support to filtration media in pleated filtration designs. Our netting is recyclable, incinerable, rust-proof, temperature-resistant and chemically inert. We also commercialize netting components that can pleat at ambient temperatures which helps filter manufacturers to pleat low-melt temperature media materials.
