Conwed^® Plastics Sells Vexar^® Product Line

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (December 9, 2003) – Conwed Plastics today announced the sale of its Vexar^® product line, including the products, capabilities, and brand, to NSW, LLC.  Vexar is used in packaging, decorative and industrial applications, and for general use in the industrial arts.  The sale and transfer was completed on December 3, 2003.

The sale of Vexar is consistent with Conwed’s commitment to inventing and commercializing high-performance oriented square netting.  “The future of Conwed is to focus on our core business, which is high-technology, high-value products.  In today’s marketplace, customers have demanding expectations for best product and best price.  Our goal is to deliver product that is highly engineered so that it delivers good quality with a keen eye toward maximum efficiency.  We are therefore streamlining Conwed’s product offerings to allow our netting experts to devote themselves more fully to next-generation technologies,” explained Mark Lewry, president and CEO, Conwed Plastics.
