Conwed Purchases Tie-Net® Unit of Tipper Tie, Inc. MINNEAPOLIS, MN, October 18, 2007— Conwed Global Netting Solutions, a market leader in the manufacture of lightweight plastic netting, announces the acquisition of the Tie-Net® Unit of Tipper Tie, Inc. located in West Chicago, IL. The purchase includes Tipper Tie’s knitted net products brands: Tie-Net® and Net All®.
With this acquisition, Conwed strengthens its position as a leading supplier of plastic netting in meat and poultry packaging and processing, Christmas tree netting, erosion control netting and expands into markets such as oil boom netting. The Tie-Net® transaction represents Conwed’s eighth acquisition in the past 4 years.
