The most renowned vineyards use Conwed Birdnet netting to protect their grapes for the finest of wines. Growers gently wrap the soft, flexible extruded or knitted mesh net over vines allowing for crop growth. The small mesh size of the net protects grapes from being devoured by birds or other animals without harming the grapes or the animals. The thin strands permit sunlight to reach the grapes while providing enough strength to maintain net integrity.
Birdnet netting is commonly used to ward off birds in vineyards, cherry orchards, and over cranberry ponds. Birdnet is easy to use and remove by hand or by using equipment designed for net installation.
